Setting up an Internet Connection in a WSU Office

Most buildings on Wayne State's main, medical, and health sciences campuses and at the Oakland Center and University Center at Macomb are connected to WSU's data communications network and are wired for an Ethernet connection. With an Ethernet connection, you can plug your computer into the data jack in the telephone wallplate and connect directly to WSU's data network and the Internet. To request a new Ethernet connection to Wayne State's campus data communications network and the Internet:

  • Contact your local tech support team. Find a listing by school, college, and division here. If this is not an option, contact the appropriate Help Desk listed below.
  • On WSU's medical campus: Call WSU School of Medicine, Medical School Information Systems, (313) 577-1527.
  • On WSU's main campus and in all other locations: Call the C&IT Help Desk at (313) 577-4778.
