Can I use Mac OS X to access Cognos?

Yes, a Macintosh running Safari 2.0, Safari 3.0, or Firefox 3.0 can be used to access Cognos and run reports.

To download a report in Firefox 3.0, the user will need to use the CSV file format.  The current Excel download does not work correctly with any Web browser on Mac OS X or with Excel 2004.  However, the CSV file will work in Excel 2004 as a normal Excel document.

There are known issues in all versions of Safari when downloading reports in any format other than PDF, and those options are not shown to Safari users.
