To use WSU's Instant Messaging Service on Windows, Computing & Information Technology (C&IT) supports the Spark instant messaging client. To install Spark:

1. Go to the Messaging Service's login page.
2. Use your AccessID and password to log in.
3. In the Account Information section on the right:
   1. Go down to the WSU Instant Messaging (IM) section.
   2. Click Mac to download the IM Software you need.
   3. If you get the question "spark ... dmg "contains an application. Are you sure you want to continue downloading "spark ... dmg"?, click continue.
4. Double-click the disk image to open it and reveal the Spark application.
5. Click the Spark application and drag it to the Applications folder so it copies to the hard drive.
6. Eject the Spark disk image from the desktop by dragging it to the Trash (as you would eject a CD or a USB drive).
7. Double-click Spark to launch the application.
8. Type your AccessID and its password in the Username and Password fields.
9. Type messaging.wayne.edu in the Server field.
10. Click Login.
