What grading options are available when setting up Multiple attempt assessments?

The grading options available for a Gradebook Item include how the result is displayed and how the attempt is scored.

The results can be displayed as Complete/Incomplete, Letter, Percentage, Score, or Text.

The attempt can be scored using Grade of Last Attempt, Highest grade, Lowest grade, Grade of First Attempt, or Average of Attempt Grades.

To change how results are displayed for a Grade Center column:

  1. Click the Action Link of the desired column.
  2. Click Click Edit Column Information.
  3. Under Primary Display, select how you want the results displayed (Complete/Incomplete, Letter, Percentage, Score, or Text).
  4. Optional: Under Secondary Display, select how you want the results displayed.
  5. Click Submit to save.
Note: This display option is shown in the Grade Center only.

To change how assessment attempts are scored for a Grade Center column:
  1. Click the Action Link of the desired column.
  2. Click Click Edit Column Information.
  3. Under Score attempts using, select how you want the results displayed (Grade of Last Attempt is the default).
  4. Click Submit to save.
