To request a Guest ID, the sponsor needs to work with the business manager of their school, college, or division (S/C/D). The business manager can make the request via the business managers' group inside WSU Pipeline.
Guest IDs will expire at different times. The defaults are: E-mail only access will be for 90 days; instructors not being paid by WSU will be given access for the term they are teaching and the succeeding 21 days; and access to the enterprise systems will be for 30 days. Some other cases, such as employees of the University Physicians Group (UPG), may receive up to a year before expiration. If a specific expiration timeframe is needed, please note it according to point #4 below.
Once C&IT receives the request from the business manager the turnaround time is usually within three (3) business days, if not less.
If you are a sponsor requesting a Guest ID, please supply your business manager with the following information so they can properly fill out the request.
Access to the restricted databases is not controlled by C&IT. Once the Guest ID is created the sponsor should contact the Dean of the WSU Library System and provide the research reason for the guest's access.

This is for non-academic guest access (such as an auditor or contractor) or an academic guest who doesn't fit in the semester-based expiration above.
Once the Guest ID has been processed the sponsor and business manager will receive an e-mail with the pertinent information from a staff member at the C&IT Help Desk. It is the sponsor's responsibility to relay this information to the guest.
