You want an e-mail address to fit your name. The E-Mail Name is just that—a name you use in place of your AccessID in e-mail only. You pick it, and it becomes part of your e-mail address. You can then use it OR your AccessID in your e-mail address. For example:

If your AccessID is xy6789, and your name is John Doe, and you specify John.Doe as your E-mail Name, then you can use either of the following as your e-mail address:

xy6789@wayne.edu

John.Doe@wayne.edu

To set your E-mail Name:

1. Log in to WSU Pipeline and click Account.
   OR
   Log in to WSU WebMail and click Account Management.
2. On the sidebar click Set an E-mail Name.
3. Type the E-mail Name you have chosen in the space provided and click the OK button.
4. The response will tell you if the name you've chosen has been accepted. If the name is accepted, you're finished. If the name is unavailable, the system will prompt you to try a different name.
